I can’t install the Epic Games Launcher


Unable to install on Windows

If you can’t download and launch the installer on Windows 10, try these steps. Since these are for Windows 10, they may be slightly different on other versions.

  1. Temporarily disable background applications. You can use the steps in this article to do this.

If you launch the Epic Games launcher and see that previously available games are no longer in your library, or you cannot download them, please do the following or check may help:

  4. In your terminal, enter the following line: open /Users/[YourUserNameHere]/Library/Logs/Unreal\ Engine/EpicGamesLauncher
  5. In the window that appears, right-click the EpicGamesLauncher folder and choose to compress “EpicGamesLauncher.”

How do I restart the Epic Games Launcher?

It is important to keep your Launcher updated, and sometimes restarting it is the best way to ensure you get these:

  1. Close the launcher by right-clicking on the system tray icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar and then selecting Exit.
